Overview: We believe in providing each child with a great quality program. We also believe in keeping the children active during their class time and minimizing the amount of time that is spent waiting in line. We accomplish this by maintaining small class sizes for our gymnastics programs. We also keep the children active during class through the use of circuit training and/or obstacle courses. Overall, the goal of our program is for each child to have fun while being active. The following provides a brief overview of our programs.
Mommy & Me or Daddy & Me for 2-3 yr. olds: Come play with us and explore different motor development skills. This is an interactive class for you and your child. Children will learn gross motor skills along with basic gymnastics. We will do jumping, balancing, relays, and rolls. Your child will have lots of fun and gain confidence along the way.
Preschool Motor Development 3-5 yr. olds: This class teaches coordination and balance, which is used in all sports. It also provides an introduction to gymnastics for the preschooler, with basic tumbling skills and swinging skills on the uneven bars. This is a great class to help children learn to interact in a student/teacher setting without mom or dad by their side. (Though, parents are welcome to sit with their child during this class until he/she gains the confidence to sit independently.)
Preschool Gymnastics 3-5 yr. olds: This class offers gymnastics skills similar to the beginning gymnastics class, but tailored for the preschooler who has good coordination skills. This is another great class to help children learn to interact in a student/teacher setting without mom or dad by their side.
Beginning Gymnastics 4-6 and 7-9 yr. olds: This class focuses on introductory tumbling skills; such as, forward rolls, straddle rolls, pike rolls, backward rolls, backbends, handstands, tick tocks, cartwheels, and back handsprings. Your child will learn many different skills on the uneven bars; such as, long swings, glide swings, and back hip pull overs. Your child will further develop coordination skills with various movements on the balance beams.
Intermediate Gymnastics: This class builds upon the fundamental tumbling skills learned at the beginner level. Additional tumbling skills will be taught; such as, back extension rolls, back walk overs, front walk overs, round-off back handspring combinations and front handsprings.
Advanced Gymnastics: This class continues to build upon the fundamental tumbling skills learned at the beginner and intermediate levels. This class will help develop strong front handsprings and round-off back handspring combinations. Standing back tucks and aerial cartwheels may also be taught in this class.
Tumbling for 8-12 yr. olds: This class will focus upon tumbling skills and drills designed to help improve those skills. Each child also will work on developing skills at his or her own level. This is an ideal class for aspiring cheerleaders, as this is a great class to learn tumbling for cheerleading.
Cheer Dance for 4-6 and 7-9 yr. olds: Cheer Dance is a "just for fun" class. Cheer Dance offers your child a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading: jumps, motions, chants, cheers, and a little dance.
